The home of Boston Whaler® UK
Dorset Yacht Company, is situated on the shores of Poole Harbour in Poole, Dorset. The Harbour is the second largest natural harbour in the world and is a place of outstanding natural beauty; it is the centre of many water sports activities. Studland and Bournemouth beaches are among the best in the country and are very popular anchorage havens for many boats from Poole and further afield.
Our company has been established since 1938 and
we have been the U.K. distributor for Boston Whaler
for over twenty-seven years.
We own and operate a fifty berth deep water Marina accommodating vessels of up to 15 metres. The Marina complex benefits from natural deep water access at all stages of the tide which makes it a highly practical base to boat from for all Whaler customers. The site is south facing which encourages a positive atmosphere especially on hot summer days. There is a 50 tonne Travel Hoist that enables larger vessels to be retrieved and launched with ease and further illustrates the resources that we can offer to our customers. For smaller vessels there is a Hiab crane which can lift out and launch all Boston Whalers up to 21 feet. We have our own 3,000 square foot Boathouse providing undercover space for engine and boat rigging.
Relax, unwind, leave the everyday behind
We have a Bar and Restaurant, which is located right next to the Marina. With seating and tables set out on the decking as well as inside the airy seaside orientated Club. It makes a lovely place to enjoy a meal and absorb the vista whether you have a boat or not.
Boston Whaler Technicians
We have specialist Boston Whaler technicians on site should customers require. There are workshops on site with highly experienced mechanics and technicians that are capable of servicing both Yamaha and Mercury engines.
Yamaha and Mercury
We are also main agents for Yamaha and Mercury and are able to offer very competitive prices on all engines.

Detailed directions by road
from London
From the M3, M27, A31
The M27 becomes the A31 at Cadnam. Keep on the A31. After signposts for Ringwood, it becomes four lanes. Keep to the outer two lanes and continue along the A31 following the signs for Poole.Stay on the A31 bypassing Wimborne and take the A349 towards Poole. At Fleet's Corner roundabout, pick up the A35 and follow until you reach the signs for Upton and Hamworthy. Take this exit and follow this road for approximately 3 miles back towards Poole. After crossing a double mini roundabout layout, exit onto the Blandford Road - you will pass through a couple of parades of shops, traffic lights and under one railway bridge.
When you reach the Red Lion pub to your left and Post Office on the right, turn in to Lake Road. Follow this road passing under the narrow railway bridge which has a height restriction of 9ft 4 inches. Turn right after the Yachtsman pub into Lake Drive past Moriconium Quay flats, then left again at the end of the road into Lake Yard.
You may park your car at the top of the Yard. Our offices are located in the building by the water edge, go up the outside flight of stairs and we are the second set of offices on the right.
